Many of us spend much of our lives wondering. For some it is the miracle of birth or a beautiful sunset that inspires. Others find wonder in observing the Universe or reflecting on both the complexity and simplicity of DNA. But, whatever the object of our wonder, it seems that our capacity to marvel and question is undiminished, even in today’s world of information overload.
It’s for this reason that Dr Pete Moore, a popular science author, journalist and speaker, has assembled a multi-disciplinary team, to create the wonder project disc and site. This part of Pete’s work is funded by the John Templeton Foundation, and is based at Trinity College Bristol. The team includes scientists, theologians, educationists, teachers, multi-media producers, computer programmers and writers, all aiming to deliver the most authoritative and accessible guide possible to the debate about origins.
Team members are drawn from the worlds of science, faith and education, including people of religious belief, atheists and agnostics. The one thing that they have in common is their own personal sense of wonder. They represent many different viewpoints and beliefs. They have joined forces in the wonder project to present the arguments, debates and evidence about origins in the most objective way possible, and leave you to make up your own mind.
